Abstract

Abstract Water-soluble copolymers of the 5,10,15,20-tetra-p-tolylporphyrins bearing a N-(p-vinylphenyl)carbamoyl group in a substituent at the pyrrole moiety or their Zn complexes with N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone have been effective as photo-redox catalysts for the FRA–l-ascorbic acid and the viologen–triethanolamine in aqueous solutions or in the copolymer films.
