Abstract

The article examines a photo project as a means of effective formation of professionally oriented foreign language lexical competence among students when teaching English at a university by replenishing the vocabulary. Updating this issue, the author proposes definitions and classifications of innovative technologies and art technologies, as well as art pedagogy, showing their similarities and differences. On the example of a photo project as a means of art pedagogy that contributes to the maintenance of students' visual thinking, its use in teaching English to students at a university is briefly described.
