Abstract
The catalytic performance of STA-12 as a highly robust metal–organic framework (MOF) was explored in the oxidation of benzylic alcohols with tert-butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) in ethyl acetate as a safe solvent. High efficiency and selectivity towards different benzylic alcohols were documented under controlled conditions. The catalyst proved to be reusable and preserved its integrity after many runs with negligible loss of activity.
