Abstract

The techniques electron tunneling were applied to the study of the amorphous superconductors Ga, Bi(+Pb impurity), and Pb(+Bi impurity). The phonon spectra were computed using McMillan's inversion program. The characteristics of this kind of superconductor are the large Coulomb pseudopotentials and electron-phonon coupling constant. Calculated values of the T c for a disordered superconductor using the theory of Garland et al. were in good agreement with the measured values.
