Abstract

The temperature evolution of the far-infrared (FIR) and mid-infrared (MIR) absorption spectra of (2223 phase) superconductors show a large softening of phonon frequencies in the superconducting phase . The onset of the softening is at 130 K which is well above the superconducting transition temperature at 106 K. A change of the MIR absorption near is reported and compared with earlier observations in .
