Abstract

The acoustic properties and NMR spectrum of 27Al in Y 3−itxLu x Al 5O 12 solid solutions have been studied. Anomalous increase i the values of the phonon-impurity relaxation time τ 0 and 27Al NMR line narrowing at a concentration x ≅0.75 were observed. These effects are explained as the result of the Y and Lu ions ordering in cation sublattices.
