Abstract

We study the phonon dynamics in a biased molecular junction with the interplay ofelectron–phonon coupling and Coulomb interaction. These interactions are taken intoaccount within the self-consistent Born approximation and mean-field methods. It is foundthat the Coulomb interaction can enhance the nonequilibrium phonon generation. Ageneral formula for the zero-frequency power spectral density of the phonon energy currentfluctuation is presented in terms of the nonequilibrium phonon Green’s functions.
