As the twentieth anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks approach, Lvovich ‘s essay recounts her experience of the events as a Russian émigré, from the physicality of the plane striking the building, to the ensuing days of fear, confusion, and a deep connection to her past in Moscow.
