Abstract
Abstract Phlegmonous gastritis is a rare, life-threatening, rapidly progressive purulent infection of the gastric wall. Multiple pathogens have been associated with this disease, notably Streptococcus species. We report what we believe to be the first case of phlegmonous gastritis due to Listeria monocytogenes.
