Abstract

Most consumers have now been the unfortunate recipient of one of a host of pervasive emails, supposedly sent by their financial institution, requesting personal data. This type of unsolicited correspondence has the intention of directing users to a fake web site, facilitating the unauthorised retrieval of personal financial information which can then be used to fraudulently access a user's bank account.
