Phishing: Educating the Internet users – a practical approach using email screen shots

Abstract

Phishing is an attack targeting human component in cyber security. It becomes a common phenomenon in recent years. The modern phishing attacks evolved to become more sophisticated and difficult to detect even by IT savvy users. Various techniques deployed in security awareness training to curb the phishing attacks with no avail. In this conceptual paper we propose a mandatory training or education programs for home users by using email screen shots.
