Abstract

The objective of this article is to analyze the development of trauma in motherhood based on two horror films: Pray for the Devil (2022), directed by Daniel Stamm, and Swallow (2019), directed by Carlo Mirabella-Davis. Consequently, the main objective of the research is to elucidate two types of trauma – that of the daughter and that of the mother – present in the protagonists as a result of the imposition of the responsive imperative.
