Abstract
The article is devoted to philosophical comprehension of tolerance. This problem is connected with a number of fundamental philosophical and ideological questions concerning the person’s understanding of his identity, possibilities and limits of knowledge and understanding, dialogue of cultures and civilizations. The article substantiates the need to move from discussing the issue of tolerance of an entity or group of individuals to a culture of tolerance.
