Abstract

The article attempts to analyze the modern view of Russian philosophers-researchers on the historically established categorization of the theoretical and philosophical concept of evil. An analysis of various historical eras is carried out in the context of identifying the most signifi cant views on evil. When referring to pedagogical research, the scientific discussion initiated in 2002 on the pages of the journal “Education and Science. Izvestia of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Education. The completion of the theoretical review was an appeal to the philosophical and pedagogical discourse of the development of the concept of pedagogical evil. The study revealed that philosophers are developing the problem of evil, while in pedagogy there is a certain stagnation in the acceptance of this phenomenon and its study. As a result of applying the categorical pendulum method, a model of a categorical series of dissocial upbringing was built, the foundation of which is evil.
