Abstract

Foreign policy of a country is an important aspect to let the international community know where the country stands on various issues. Through foreign relations, economic and social development is achieved, gaining more friends than foes. President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo's Third Reality - The international Islamic Community will continue to be important for the Philippines; and the Fourth Reality - The growing importance of Multilateral and inter-regional organizations to promote common interests; should be pursued at all times. At these crucial times, the Philippines needs to further strengthen its relations with South Asian countries since it's the region of emerging economic giant. The country could gain support on various aspects with good ties with the numerous states. Trade could be a surplus agenda in this ever dynamic growing region of the world.
