Abstract

I will report on the progress in theoretical studies of the ϕ meson mass shift in a nuclear medium and provide an overview of the current experimental status for observing such an effect. Additionally, I will discuss how the distinct momentum dependencies of the transverse and longitudinal modes can be experimentally distinguished, particularly through the e+e− and K+K− decay modes of the ϕ meson as it decays within the medium.
