Abstract

A patient with phasic paroxysmal auricular tachycardia related to normal inspiration is described. This arrhythmia was fairly well tolerated, and responded to treatment with digitalis and quinidine but recurred as soon as the treatment was discontinued. Carotid sinus pressure occasionally elicited an attack of paroxysmal auricular tachycardia.
