Abstract

Cardiac arrhythmias, particularly ventricular tachycardia, have long been recognized as a cause of tubular necrosis, anuria and renal failure.1 The graphic display of phasic, instantaneous blood flow velocity in the renal arteries of unanesthetized, conscious human subjects has afforded an opportunity to study the effect of transient or chronic arrhythmias on the renal circulation.
