Abstract
Phasic pretreatment of 2.5 X 10−3M, 5x103M of zinc sulphate (zn) to seeds Cicer arietinum Cv C-235 indicated a decline in activities of amylase and protease at phase IV. While, 2.5 x 10−4 M (cadmium acetate (Cd) stimulated the protease activity in phase (I, II to III). Uptake of both metals was higher in all phases, being miximun in phase III (Cd) and IV (Zn).
