Abstract

A motor driven, three-terminal capacitor introduces a small, periodic unbalance of low frequency and zero average deviation into the output of a transformer bridge. Presence of the resulting signal in the output of the lock-in demodulator permits easy adjustment of the reference phase without the need of disturbing bridge settings or the detector sensitivity.
