Abstract

In this paper, it is shown that a ring structure coupled diode-injection laser stripe array with complex coupling coefficients can be controlled in such a fashion as to perform agile beam tracking by use of a phased array. The controller uses measurements of the power of the individual laser stripes. The symmetry of the array is exploited to obtain a control law of a simple form.
