Abstract

The analysis of the vibration characteristics of rotating machinery is significant, and the traditional contact measurement methods have many limitations. This article proposes a phase-based video measurement method for active vibration suppression performance of the magnetically suspended rotor system. First, the synchronous vibration caused by rotor mass imbalance and the dynamics of the system are modeled. A high-speed camera is then used to capture the video of the vibrating structure and the phase-based vibration extraction algorithm is introduced to extract the vibration characteristics. In order to suppress the synchronous vibration, the phase-shift notch filter is designed and the active vibration suppression performance is evaluated by the phase-based video measurement method. Finally, the experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method is feasible to measure the vibration characteristics and evaluate the active vibration suppression performance.
