Abstract
The mechanisms of eutectic and contact melting are directly related to the nature of eutectics. The nature and mechanism of this process are still not completely understood. A study of contact melting in an In-Bi (eutectics-eutectics) system could help to elaborate the role of phases formed in systems with the chemical interaction of components. The experimental results from lowering the temperature with respect to the lowest eutectics in an In-Bi system are presented.
