Abstract

Embolic Agents In article number 2205002, Xuyang Sun, Jing Liu, and co-workers propose a novel liquid embolic agent with rapid liquid–solid phase-transition capability, for administrating simultaneous embolotherapy, hyperthermia, and biomedical imaging. Through simple syringe injection, the liquid embolic agent can flow and fill the nutrient supply vessels of the hepatoma to realize fast embolization. This high-image-contrast material with good biocompatibility is also demonstrated to produce a large amount of heat under an external electromagnetic field to enhance the therapeutic efficacy of tumor embolization, which holds great promise in future embolism and theranostic platforms.
