Abstract

In this study the experimental data on thin titanium foil interaction with hydrogen HFD are presented. This investigation concentrates on the solid state phase transformations in titanium substrate under isothermal regimes under excess hydrogen concentration in sample. Isotherms of the titanium-hydrogen interaction are interpreted by the XRD method and a titanium-hydrogen binary constitution diagram. At a temperature of 873 K in the concentration range of 44–50 at.%H the metastable γ-phase with a f.c.t. lattice structure ( c a > 1 ) with TiH chemical formula was identified.
