Abstract

QCD phase structure and a new critical point at finite baryon density are discussed with special emphasis on the interplay between the dynamical chiral symmetry breaking and the color superconductivity. Results of a model independent Ginzburg-Landau approach and of a phenomenological Nambu−Jona-Lasinio model are presented. A theoretical connection between the hadron-quark phase transtion at finite baryon density and the boson-fermion mixture of ultracold atoms is also discussed.
