Abstract

Double Hubbard chains coupled with zigzag bonds, which consist of ferromagnetic exchange interaction and hopping terms, is studied by the density-matrix renormalization group method. We establish the phase diagram based on the results of pair binding energy, spin gap, and ground-state total spin as well as local density. We also calculate the spin-triplet pair correlation functions and suggest the importance of interchain hopping integrals to the formation of spin-triplet pairing.
