Abstract

We numerically study the dynamics of phase separation in an off-critically quenched system with conserved order parameter. Our simulation is designed to mimic an experimental study of a binary alloy. The characteristic domain size l( t) (where t is time) shows a power-law behaviour with an asymptotic growth exponent of ≈0.33 (in accordance with the experimental result). The asymptotic scaled form factor is found to be in reasonable agreement (except for the tail) with the experimental result.
