Abstract
The phase relations of the Fe 1− x Co x S system have been established by the X-ray powder diffraction method and lead to the characterization of two regions on both sides of the composition x = 0.17 when samples are quenched from 700°C to room temperature. Ageing effects and thermal treatments through the transition T α are discussed with respect to the phase diagram in order to explain the mechanisms of the phase transformations.
