Abstract
Phase shifts for an optical potential representing the nuclear scattering of $^{18}\mathrm{O}$ by $^{58}\mathrm{Ni}$ at 60 MeV laboratory energy are calculated by means of an arbitrary-order phase-integral formula taking account of two turning points. The results are found to be in excellent agreement with previously published numerical calculations.
