Abstract

Influence of direct electric current on the phase formation in liquid-solid alloys (with primary crystals separated by a liquid phase) of the Bi-Cd eutectic system has been investigated. It is established that a direct current with a density j ∼ 5 × 105 A/m2 significantly affects the processes of dissolution and structure formation in the alloys studied.
