Abstract

AbstractThe main tool needed to carry out phase‐equilibrium engineering of a given process is an adequate thermodynamic model adjusted to the range of process operating conditions of the working system. In the present work the Group Contribution with Association Equation of State (GCA‐EoS) is used to model the phase behavior of reacting mixtures typical of the hydrogenation of vegetable oils and derivatives at supercritical or high‐pressure conditions.
