Abstract

Equilibria data for the Na+, NH4+∥SO42–, HCO3–, Cl––H2O quinary system at 10 °C, 30 °C and 40 °C were measured, and the phase diagrams at those temperatures were constructed. Furthermore, the crystallization zones in the phase diagrams are discussed. The results show that the separation of Na+ and SO42– can be performed at 40 °C by adding NH4HCO3.
