Abstract

Based on the results of X-ray diffraction analysis of quenched samples and coulometric titration measurements, the phase equilibria of the La–Sr–Mn–O system at 1100°C were examined and are illustrated in the form of phase diagrams. Two types of solid solutions La1−xSrxMnO3±yand (La1−xSrx)2MnO4±λwere found to exist in the system. The homogeneity ranges of solid solutions depended on thermodynamic conditions (T,PO2, and composition of the system).
