Abstract

The equilibrium phase diagram of the lithium‐selenium system has been investigated. A miscibility gap extends from 0.5 to 30.5 a/o (atom per cent) lithium above a monotectic temperature of 350.1°C; the critical temperature is greater than 800°C. The only intermediate phase found is Li2Se which melts at 1302°C.
