Abstract
The ferromagnetic spin-1 Ashkin-Teller model in three dimensions is investigated by the application of the mean field approximation from the Bogoliubov inequality. Phase diagrams, magnetizations and free energy curves are presented. The states presented by the system are classified according to the critical values in the free energy of the model. Phase transitions for the stable, metastable and unstable states are observed.
