Abstract

An exciton in impure bulk crystals is expected to show a localized-delocalized transition with varying an excitation frequency. Around this mobility edge, phase-conjugated wave generation is theoretically shown to be singularly enhanced. It is proposed that the exciton mobility edge, which is insensitive to the linear optical response, will be clearly observed as a singular peak in this four-wave mixing spectroscopy.
