Abstract

A three-dimensional ghost imaging system based on the phase-coded modulation is proposed. The system utilizes two high speed electro-optic modulators to encode and decode the pulsed laser with the M-sequence so as to accomplish correlation calculation in optical domain to solve the range information of targets. Compared with the conventional optical heterodyne ghost imaging system using complex detection devices to guarantee heterodyne efficiency, the phase-coded modulation three-dimensional ghost imaging is capable of easy implement and similar detection performance. The results of numerical simulation and experiment have verified the feasibility of the proposed phase-coded modulation three-dimensional ghost imaging.
