Abstract

Reversible optical change due to laser irradiation or thermal annealing in amorphous films of the composition triangle AgInTe2-Sb-Te is described. Distinctive features are that there are a composition H (Ag9In14Te37Sb40) representing the best cyclability (≈106) for static repetition tests and a composition L (Ag8In8Te46Sb38) showing the largest reflectivity difference (≈26%) between the as-deposited and the annealed states at λ=830 nm.
