Abstract

Purpose/Objective: The cytokine rHuKGF stimulates proliferation & differentiation of normal epithelium. A phase I trial showed that rHuKGF (60 mcg/kg) can be safely integrated into a course of HRT & CT in advanced head & neck squamous carcinoma (SCCHN). The current study tested the efficacy of rHuKGF against RT/CT induced mucositis.
