Abstract

The generation of microliter quantities of a gas such as nitrogen in an Oxygraph chamber can result in apparent/artifactual oxygen consumption. This can easily be misconstrued as due to the occurrence of a radical reaction, or greater oxygen consumption than is, in actuality, occurring. (First online: June 5, 2023)
