Abstract

Describes experience using epoxy-resin-based tissue substitutes (White et al., 1977) whose values of mass attenuation and energy absorption coefficients, electron mass stopping and angular scattering power ratios were shown to be within 5% of the tissues substituted. A second purpose of the investigation was to explore the possibility of using the technique in a clinical setting where the investigation must be limited to one hour to be acceptable.
