Abstract A description is provided for Phaeoisariopsis robiniae . Information is included on the disease caused by the organism, its transmission, geographical distribution, and hosts. HOST: Robinia pseudoacacia (Locust tree). DISEASE: Leaf spot, the effected leaves soon turning yellow and falling. GEOGRAPHICAL DISTRIBUTION: North America (U.S.A. (VA, IA, WI)). TRANSMISSION: Presumably by air borne conidia. Survival mechanisms unknown.
