Abstract

A 1.5-month-old baby girl presented with an increasing infantile hemangioma (IH) involving most of her right hemiface, most predominantly her forehead and eyelid. The lesion measured 9.5 × 6 cm. She was born premature at 34 weeks due to maternal cervical insufficiency at a birth weight of 2.590 kg. There was no history of maternal drug exposure during gestation and her birth history was unremarkable. The girl did not have any apparent developmental delays or a family history of IH. Ophthalmologic examination excluded orbital abnormalities.
