Abstract
Analytical expressions for the pH-regulated ionic current/conductance in a cylindrical nanopore are derived for taking into account practical effects of multiple ionic species, surface chemistry reactions, and electroosmotic flow. Our model is verified by the experimental data of the conductance in the silica nanopore available in the literature. The validated analytical models are applicable to investigate electrokinetic ion transport, and to design the next-generation nanopore-based devices.
