Abstract
Adsorption of PP vitamin onto a silver colloidal particle surface was investigated on a wide range of solution pH by surface-enhanced Raman scattering. The molecule was found to adsorb onto the surface in neutral form at large pH values and in protonated form at low pH. It was found that a strong interacting amide group-metal is present in protonated form. The ring nitrogen-metal interaction has an important role in the adsorption process of the neutral form.
