Abstract

Current evidence shows that depressed scars are positively associated with intra-abdominal adhesions. Abdominal wound characteristics following cesarean section can predict the presence of abdominal adhesions. However, given the small number of published studies, further research is needed. The purpose of this report is to show the relation between cesarean scar characteristics and pelvic adhesions. Depressed scars are associated with intra-abdominal adhe- sions, while flat scars are correlated with its absence.
