Abstract

Benefits of regular physical activity in cardiac patients far outweigh its risk. Thus this practice must be always recommended. However, during exercise, acute hazard of cardiovascular event is transitory increased. The individual risk must be evaluated in these patients. Precise evaluation is still difficult. It must be based on cardiac disease and its specific gravity criteria, drugs efficacy, physical activity related symptoms, physical activity and practitioner patterns and physician's own experience.
