Abstract
After analysing the current state and existing problems of automatic resonance Peterson coil, a novel Peterson coil with three phases and five columns is presented to solve the high-order harmonic induced by regulating the firing angle of Thyristor-Controlled Reactor (TCR), which is based on changing magnetic coupling and flux to adjust inductance. The structure of this reactor is different from the traditional model, which adjusts inductance by altering the mutual inductance coupling quotiety. This paper also analyses the harmonics and volt-ampere characteristics of the arc suppression coil (ASC). The dual CPU hardware realisation and the turning principle of the ASC are also presented. The experiments show that this type of ASC has quick resonance speed, no high order harmonic, accurate tracing and automatic compensating capacitive current.
