Abstract

Peter Higgs, who died in April aged 94, was an elusive figure who liked to stay out of the limelight. But in 2012 he agreed to an audio interview with Physics World editor Matin Durrani, who presents an edited version of it here for the first time and reveals how the meeting came about.
